Fujifilm X-H2S to Use 26 Megapixel STACKED Sensor!

The current Fujifilm X-H1

According to the latest rumors from Fujirumors, the upcomong Fujifilm X-H2S will use a new 26 megapixel stacked sensor.

There are two new Fujifilm X-H2 cameras coming:

  • Fujifilm X-H2S  equipped with a 26-megapixel stacked sensor.
  • Fujifilm X-H2 is a 40MP high resolution camera

So the question now is whether the high-resolution X-H2 will also have a stacked sensor. Possibly, there is a possibility that Sony already sells an 8K-compatible 43-megapixel back-stacked sensor (will Fujifilm use 40 million pixels?).

There were rumors that the 26-megapixel sensor of the X-H2S would be a new type of sensor, but it seems that the latest back-stacked sensor will be adopted instead of reprinting the 26-megapixel sensor so far. The X-H2S is likely to be a very high-performance high-speed continuous shooting camera.

On the other hand, it seems unclear at this point whether the 40-megapixel X-H2 is a stacked sensor, and if a normal sensor is adopted, it will be a model that emphasizes 8K and image quality rather than speed.

Fujifilm X-H1 is absolutely fantastic value for money. It is now for only $1,299 with Battery Grip Kit  at B&H.
